I have been a member of the First Tee of Greater Seattle family ever since I joined in 2013 as a seven year old. From the beginning, the First Tee has taught me many things. From the basics of a golf swing to thinking ahead for the future. The First Tee doesn’t just teach kids how to hit a ball but also teaches them valuable practices to have in every aspect of life, such as honesty and responsibility. Being a part of the First Tee has also given me the opportunity to expand my friend circle. I’ve been able to meet and talk to new people I would not have ever met if it weren’t for the First Tee. I want other young kids to be exposed to the activities I experienced. I also want them to grow from the positive teachings that the First Tee has to offer.
The United States Golf Association has partnered with the American Junior Golf Association and will match the donations I raise for any junior golf association, including the First Tee of Greater Seattle.
Also, I want to help fight hunger in my home state; Washington. Especially for the hungry children and the elderly who make up 50% of those who utilize emergency food systems such as Northwest Harvest. Northwest Harvest is a nonprofit organization that package and distribute food in rural areas for those in need. Not only do they distribute food for the needy but they are committed to promoting healthy eating as well. They rely on donations for their organization to function and take volunteers that are willing to help package food. My family had volunteered and helped package thousands of meals to those in need. But I’d like to do more by helping to provide financial contribution through my skills in golf.
Your dollars will not only support the funding The First Tee of Greater Seattle and Northwest Harvest, but also will impact other junior golfers as well through the ACE Grant program. Your contributions will help talented junior golfers with a desire to better their life through playing junior golf and earning a college golf scholarship. These juniors lack the financial resources to compete at the national level to gain exposure to these scholarships. They need our help as well. The scholarships these juniors earn through their play change the course of their life and the life of their future family.
My goal is to raise $3,500. Would you consider making a donation and making a difference?
There are two ways to contribute - Click Donate Now
- You can make a one-time donation and your credit card will be charged now.
- Or, you can pledge a specific amount for every birdie or eagle I make. I will keep you up to date during the season and then contact you at the end to let you know how much you owe.
