A message from Taylor Roberts:
I have competed with the AJGA for 6 years in all levels of events. Since my first tournament as an 8th grader, I have created memories and experiences that will undoubtedly be with me for the rest of my life. My favorite part about AJGA has been gaining tournament experience and making special friendships along the way, one which includes Phoebe who is co-director in making the Senior Cup possible. While facing the global pandemic at home, I was Face Timing my friends and thought about how sad it would be to end our junior golf careers without saying goodbye to everyone I’ve met over the years. . . This sparked the idea for the senior cup! A special aspect of our event is that we are not only gathering seniors from all over the country to participate but we are making a huge impact on the world by donating to the Emergency Golf Relief Fund. Community service has always been an impactful part of my life, whether it’s teaching kids how to read Hebrew at religious school or helping kids in my community to learn how to play golf. The idea of the senior cup really hits home because it’s a way to give back to the golf community that has done so much for me. . . I hope you will join us in making this possible!!
A message from Phoebe Brinker:
Through all levels of AJGA, from qualifiers to junior all-stars, opens and finally invitationals, golf has been one of the most impactful and special aspects of my life. Without the AJGA I would not have had the opportunity to meet friends from around the country, take part in prestigious, competitive tournaments, represent my country abroad, and have the opportunity to attend my dream university. For all these reasons, this is why Taylor and I want to give back. We recognize the severity of the pandemic, so we want to do our part in helping the golf industry, as well as give back to the AJGA ACE Grant to lend a hand to the younger generation of golfers striving to achieve their dreams. I really hope you consider donating to help Taylor and I make the Senior Cup a memorable experience for the senior class!
We are excited to support the Golf Emergency Relief Fund initiated by the PGA of America. The Golf Emergency Relief Fund has been established to provide short-term financial assistance to workers in the golf industry who are the backbone of our sport and face significant financial hardship, including those suffering as a result of COVID-19. The PGA of America will also match the donations going directly to the Golf Emergency Relief Fund!
Your dollars will not only support the Golf Emergency Relief Fund, but will also impact other junior golfers as well through the ACE Grant program. Your contributions will help talented junior golfers with a desire to better their life through playing junior golf and earning a college golf scholarship. These juniors lack the financial resources to compete at the national level to gain exposure to these scholarships. They need our help as well. The scholarships these juniors earn through their play change the course of their life and the life of their future family.
Our goal is to raise $20,000 to help alleviate some of the fundraising burdens put on the juniors in order to play in the Senior Cup.
