TOURNAMENT FACT SHEET
- The AJGA Junior at Penn State is a 54-hole, stroke play event.
- The field features juniors from 17 states, Canada, Colombia and Singapore.
|Penn State Golf Course plays host to AJGA event|
|This is the fifth consecutive year that Penn State Golf Courses have hosted an AJGA event, but the first time they have hosted an AJGA Open event. The course previously hosted Junior All-Star events.|
|Keystone state flavor|
|45 players hailing from the state of Pennsylvania will compete in the AJGA Junior at Penn State this week, but only one player in the field calls State College home. Ben Gelenberg, a sophomore at State College Area High School, is competing in the AJGA event at Penn State for the second year in a row. Last year, Gelenberg recorded rounds of 77-81-77-235 to finish T38.|

The AJGA Junior at Penn State will have AJGA communications representatives on hand to assist media throughout the week. Prior to the tournament the AJGA will provide information about the event and its participants, as well as assist with player interviews.
After each round, media officials on-site will write a recap with the day's results. These will be emailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors may be conducted before or after tournament rounds.

About the AJGA
The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls, ages 12-18) of more than 6,300 members from 48 states and more than 50 foreign countries.
