Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy Junior All-Star Series
The Junior Al-Star at Château Élan is one of 14 events in the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy Junior All-Star Series. Specifically designed for boys and girls ages 12-15, the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy Junior All-Star Series presents opportunities for younger players to develop their skills and earn entry into AJGA Open tournaments. The Series concludes with the Junior All-Star Invitational sponsored by NIKEGOLF over Columbus Day weekend for winners and top finishers in Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy Junior All-Star Series events.
Château Élan continues its support of the AJGA
For the fifth consecutive year, Château Élan hosts the AJGA on Easter Weekend. Located adjacent to the AJGA's National Headquarters, Château Élan has hosted events for more than 15 years.

Top Players to Watch

Andrew Walker, Battle Creek, Mich. (2016)
In his seven events in 2013, Walker compiled six top-10 finishes, including a fourth place finish at the AJGA Junior at Forest Lake presented by Tom Holzer Ford and his first-ever AJGA victory at the Junior All-Star at Red Tail. At the 2013 Junior All-Star at Château Élan, Walker fired rounds of 71-71-77--220 to finish T10.
Sam Jung, (South Korea) Centreville, Va. (2018)
In three seasons playing in AJGA events, Jung has collected four top-10 finishes and a win at the 2013 Junior All-Star at Talbot. Jung looks to build upon his momentum in 2014 after finishing T9 at the TaylorMade-adidas Golf Junior All-Star, his first event of the year.
Martin Jaramillo, (Colombia) Bradenton, Fla. (2017)
The 2013 Junior All-Star at Château Élan champion returns in 2014 to defend his title. With tournament rounds of 70-72-70--212, Jaramillo captured his first AJGA victory in 2013. Since his win, Jaramillo has played in three AJGA Invitationals: The Junior All-Star Invitational sponsored by NIKEGOLF, the Polo Golf Junior Classic and the CB&I Boys Championship at Carlton Woods.
Allyson Geer, Brighton, Mich. (2017)
Geer is playing in her second season with the AJGA. In 2013, Geer played in seven events, finishing in third or better four times. She finished T3 at the Junior All-Star Invitational sponsored by NIKEGOLF and claimed her first AJGA win at the AJGA Junior at Forest Lake presented by Tom Holzer Ford.
Madeline Chou, Santa Ana, Calif. (2016)
Chou, a high school sophomore, is off to a hot start in 2014 after gathering her first AJGA victory at the Junior All-Star at Hot Springs Village. In her five starts in 2013, Chou finished inside the top eight in all of them.
Natalie Srinivasan, Spartanburg, S.C. (2016)
Srinivasan is just begining her third AJGA season, but has played at Château Élan twice before, claiming medalist honors at the 2012 Preseason Junior at Château Élan and earning another top-10 finish at the 2013 Junior All-Star at Château Élan. To start the 2014 season Srinivasan finished in a tie for second at the AJGA Junior at Spring Valley.

Media Accommodations

The Junior All-Star at Château Élan will have AJGA communications representatives on hand to assist media throughout the week. Prior to the tournament the AJGA will provide information about the event and its participants, as well as assist with player interviews.

After each round, media officials on-site will write a recap with the day's results. These will be emailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors may be conducted before or after tournament rounds.

About the AJGA

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls, ages 12-18) of more than 6,300 members from 48 states and more than 50 foreign countries. Through initiatives like the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant, a financial assistance program, and Leadership Links, a service-oriented platform that teaches juniors charitable-giving skills, the AJGA fosters the growth of golf’s next generation.
