Ashworth Postseason Application Release Date Changed

Applications will be available August 9, 2002, at 2 p.m. EST on the Association's Web site, ajga.org.

The application release date for the Ashworth Postseason Junior Series has been changed to 2 p.m. EST on Friday, August 9, 2002. The application will only be available in the AJGA Membership Center and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis for AJGA Members only. Fifty percent of each postseason field will be reserved for the class of 2004.

Click above to go to the AJGA's membership center and apply for the Ashworth Postseason Junior Series events.

The Ashworth Postseason Junior Series is a series for Boys Division members only, designed specifically for those AJGA Members who have not yet participated in an AJGA event and want to try and earn entry into 2003 AJGA events. To participate, AJGA members must not have played in an AJGA event during the 2002 season, excluding the ClubCorp Qualifier Series. Players who play in a ClubCorp Qualifier and earn entry into an AJGA tournament will not be eligible to participate, even if the application has already been accepted for a Postseason event.

The winners of each event will earn three automatic entries into the next three Open tournaments to which they properly apply in 2003. Top-five finishers will earn entry into their next two Open events, while top-15 finishers will gain one automatic entry to be used for the first Open tournament to which they properly apply in 2003.
