Go West!

The West Team is highlighted by Rolex Junior Player of the Year Paula Creamer. Creamer has amassed 15 AJGA wins during her junior career, while being named three times as a first-team Rolex Junior All-American. On July 4th, Creamer tied for 13th at the U.S. Women’s Open, just two weeks after finishing runner-up at the Shoprite LPGA Classic.

Jennie Lee picked up a mighty match play victory last November at the Polo Golf Junior Classic.

Amanda Blumenherst and Tiffany Joh each have two AJGA tournament titles to their credit this year.

Girls returning to the squad from last year’s winning team include Blumenherst, Lauren Espinosa, Jennie Lee, Taylor Leon and Angela Park.

The West boys’ contingent is highlighted by Rolex Tournament of Champions winner Jamie Lovemark.

After winning by six strokes in July against one of junior golf’s most impressive fields at the Rolex event, Lovemark continued his masterful play the following week at the Western Junior, winning by seven shots over another talented field.

Rory Hie has a pair of AJGA wins this year at the Heather Farr Classic and the Lennar Junior at Mission Hills.

Will Osborne is the only boy returning from last year’s squad.

In all, the West Team features 13 Rolex Junior All-Americans in its bid to claim yet another Canon Cup.

The West Team will be led once again by Gus Montano, AJGA Director of Education. Montano has been at the helm during each of the West’s past three victories.
