The 2006 schedule is highlighted by 14 spring events, the most ever to begin an AJGA season. The season officially kicks off with the AJGA Craig Ranch Junior in McKinney, Texas to be held April 7-9.

Continuing with tradition, the following week the AJGA will host its Easter Weekend events at familiar facilities. There will also be a preseason event held in the southeast from April 14-16 giving first time members an opportunity to play early in the season.

The month of April also includes preseason events in Opelika, Ala., Norman, Okla., and Middletown, R.I. Yet to be finalized are two open events in the Southeast and West regions that will fill out the month of April and help kickoff an exciting season of junior golf.

The schedule continues in early May with a visit to the Midwest. The preseason event will be held May 5-7.

One of the most unique events in junior golf, the I.R.I. Arizona National Mixed Team Championship hosted by Annika Sorenstam and Jim Furyk, will be contested May 5-7 in Tucson, Ariz.

Mid-May brings a pair of return trips to familiar venues on the AJGA circuit. The AJGA Preseason Junior at Mission Hills and the Nike Golf Junior at South Padre will take place May 12-14. Juniors will have an opportunity to test their skills on the Gary Player Course at the Westin Mission Hills Resort.
