AJGA Partners with Exide Technologies for Atlanta-area Event

Exide Technologies Junior Open to be held at Country Club of the South

BRASELTON, Ga. – The American Junior Golf Association announced Tuesday a new partnership with Exide Technologies (NASDAQ: XIDE, www.exide.com ), a global leader in stored electrical energy solutions. The Country Club of the South will play host to the Exide Technologies Junior Open to be held April 23 – 25 in Johns Creek, Ga.

As one of the world’s largest producers, distributors and recyclers of lead-acid batteries, Exide’s products and services span global markets and geographic borders, melding bases of experience and technology from its Transportation, Industrial Energy and ReStore Energy Systems divisions.Exide also is a civic leader dedicated to serving the communities in which it operates. A beneficiary of Exide Technologies, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta (BBBSMA) will receive funding through the Exide Technologies Junior Open Junior-Am Fundraising Tournament.

Through our partnership with AJGA as title sponsor of this year’s Junior Open, our Company is supporting young athletes,” said Gordon A. The AJGA has a long history of giving back to local communities through tournament fundraising efforts, making the partnership with Exide a natural choice.

2010 marks the first year that Exide Technologies sponsors the AJGA Junior Open, which will bring 78 of the nation’s top junior golfers to Johns Creek for 36 holes of competition.
