The AJGA’s 2012 tournament schedule features 94 events throughout the year, providing 15,820 playing opportunities across the United States for juniors taking aim at a college golf scholarship. The schedule features courses that are staples on the AJGA schedule, as well as a handful of new venues making their debut on the AJGA schedule.

With playing opportunities available to suit each AJGA member, the schedule consists of IMG Golf Academy Preseason Series events for first-time AJGA members, or those who have not played in an AJGA event previously; Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy Junior All-Star Series events for members age 12-15; as well as AJGA Open and Invitational events. TaylorMade-adidas Golf Qualifiers will also be held in conjunction with most AJGA Open championships.

California will host the most events, with 11 AJGA tournaments in the Golden State. Texas is close behind with 10, while Georgia and Florida will each host eight.

Familiar faces seen on the schedule include The Country Club of the South (Johns Creek, Ga.), Mission Hills Country Club’s Dinah Shore Tournament Course (Rancho Mirage, Calif.) and The Ledges (Huntsville, Ala.). Also continuing their presence on the AJGA tournament schedule are TPC Sawgrass (Ponte Vedra, Fla.), Huntingdon Valley Country Club (Huntingdon, Pa.), Steelwood Country Club (Loxley, Ala.) and The Woodlands Country Club’s Tournament Course (The Woodlands, Texas).

Golf courses making their first appearance on the AJGA schedule include The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla., which will host the Rolex Girls Junior Championship. Other new venues are Bethesda Country Club (Bethesda, Md.), Squire Creek Country Club (Choudrant, La.) and Ruby Hill Golf Club (Pleasanton, Calif.). Also, Austin Country Club (Austin, Texas) and Stallion Mountain Golf Club (Las Vegas) make their AJGA debut.

Returning to the list of all-star golf courses hosting an AJGA event is Atlanta’s Capital City Club whose Crabapple Course will host the 2012 Rolex Tournament of Champions. This will be Capital City’s second AJGA event, as it also hosted the 2005 Wyndham Cup.
