Having won the 2012 Puerto Rico Junior Open, Edward Figueroa
of Naples, Fla., earned a PGA TOUR sponsor’s exemption and is making his TOUR
debut this weekend at the Puerto Rico Open presented by seepuertorico.com. He
will play with AJGA alums Will Claxton and Zack Miller during the first and
second rounds at Trump International Golf Club.
Figueroa closed with back-to-back birdies and turned a one-shot deficit into a
one-shot victory over Jim Liu and Jorge Garcia to win the second-annual Puerto
Rico Junior Open. A final-round 69 resulted in a 4-under-par 212 total and his
second AJGA title.

Roets became the first Puerto Rico Junior Open champion to compete on the sponsor’s
exemption, and carded rounds of 76-71 in his PGA TOUR debut.
