Many juniors dream of playing professional golf, and what could be more exciting than playing in a major? This week, high school junior Alison Lee will get her third under her belt. She has competed in two U.S. Women's Opens, but will get her first crack at the Kraft Nabisco Championship this weekend.

Lee earned entry into the event by winning the fresh & easy Kraft Foods Legacy Junior Challenge. Held Tuesday at Mission Hills Country Club and conducted by the Southern California Golf Association, the Legacy Junior Challenge gave 18 junior girls, 16 of which are AJGA members, a chance to qualify for a spot in the LPGA’s first major of the year.

Though this will be Lee's first time participating in the Kraft Nabisco Championship, she is familiar with Mission Hills Country Club's Dinah Shore Tournament Course. In 2010, Lee was the victor at the ClubCorp Mission Hills Desert Junior, a long-standing event on the AJGA schedule. Her rounds of 72-69-69 gave her a tournament total of 6-under-par and a two-shot lead.

Lee, the highest-ranked AJGA junior in the field, recently captured her first Invitational victory at the ANNIKA Invitational in January. She is currently ranked No. 6 in the Polo Golf Rankings.
