The American Junior Golf Association and Wyndham Worldwide (NYSE:WYN), one of the world’s largest hospitality companies, today announced The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe will host the 2013 Wyndham Cup.

The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe is a naturally sculpted, world-class private 18-hole, par-71 golf course that was the site of the Battle at the Bridges and home to some of the greatest players to ever play the game. The course’s dramatic terrain and signature bridges are unmatched by any other course in San Diego.

“The Bridges is very excited and honored to host the 2013 AJGA Wyndham Cup,” said Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe General Manager, Sean McCune. “This is an exceptional opportunity for us to showcase our facility and work with a great organization in the AJGA.”

The Wyndham Cup, which began in 1990, is an annual team match play competition that brings together the nation’s top 40 junior golfers in an east-versus-west team match play tournament. The top 10 boys and top 10 girls east of the Mississippi River compete against their counterparts from the west. The teams are chosen based on Polo Golf Rankings, which reward top finishes in national junior golf events.

“The AJGA is delighted to join forces with Wyndham Worldwide and The Bridges at Rancho Sante Fe for the 2013 Wyndham Cup,” said Jason Etzen, AJGA chief business officer. “The Wyndham Cup is one of the AJGA’s most prestigious and valued events, and has provided playing opportunities for some of the game’s top names throughout the years.”

Notable past players from the East Team include Stewart Cink, Matt Kuchar, Webb Simpson, Cristie Kerr and Morgan Pressel. Past participants from the West Team include Tiger Woods, Hunter Mahan, Rickie Fowler, Grace Park and Paula Creamer.

The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe will join an elite list of host venues for Wyndham Cup including: Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge, Caves Valley Golf Club, Eagle Ridge, The Stanwich Club, Forest Highlands Golf Club, Old Sandwich Golf Club, The Honors Course and Capital City Club.
