Bishops Gate Golf Academy, which offers a full range of golf training programs with a specialization in developing junior players, has announced its sponsorship of three AJGA events in 2014.

The AJGA Open events will include the Bishops Gate Golf Academy Junior at Centennial at Centennial Golf Club in Medford, Oregon, June 23-26, the Bishops Gate Golf Academy Junior Classic at River Ridge Golf Club in Oxnard, California, July 28-31, and the Bishops Gate Golf Academy Junior Open at Butte Creek Country Club in Chico, California, Aug. 11-14. The three events will bring 336 junior golfers ages 12-18, to the West Coast.

“The AJGA is excited to welcome a partnership with the Bishops Gate Golf Academy,” AJGA Chief Business Officer Jason Etzen said. “The opportunity introduces the Academy to our membership and offer key opportunities for junior golfers to reach their goals of top competition closer to home.”

“Our approach can be described as Individual, Innovative and Interdependent,” Bishops Gate Golf Academy Chief Executive Officer Lee-Anne Gilchrist said. “Our players will spend more time on the golf course, learning how to make decisions, and building playing skills and growing in emotional and strategic development. Creating a sense of autonomy and self-sufficiency through great coaching is what gives our students the best tools and preparation for their college careers and beyond.”

Bishops Gate Golf Academy’s mission is to create an environment where athletes value education and learning and become part of an interdependent unit that evolves together, rather than placing emphasis on results alone. Located in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida, academics are provided by the Montverde Academy to offer the highest quality of education to create well-rounded junior golfers.
