Due to fog and poor visibility, the 54-hole competition was shortened to 36 holes. Officials suspended play mid-round on Wednesday and resumed the competition Thursday morning. After two rounds, Hollis finished in 10th place, with a final score of 4-over-par 146. Dossey shot a 5-over-par 76 to finish T21 with a score of 9-over-par 151.

For the fifth straight year, two AJGA players will represent the United States at the Duke of York Young Champions Trophy. Cooper Dossey of Austin, Texas, and Jillian Hollis of Rocky River, Ohio, will compete at Royal Aberdeen Golf Club in Aberdeen, Scotland, Sept. 16-18, among national champions from approximately 30 countries.
The tournament is 54 holes of stroke play with boys and girls competing for the same trophy. Since 2001, 12 players from six countries have been crowned champions including AJGA alumna Moriya Jutanugarn (2009), and the list of runner-ups includes major champion Rory McIlroy and 2012 Thunderbird International Junior champion Max Orrin.
Dossey rose in the Polo Golf Rankings to the No. 17 spot after a 2014 campaign which included two top 10s and his first career AJGA title at the Goodman Networks Junior at Traditions. The Texas A&M verbal commit helped the West retain the Cup at the 25th anniversary Wyndham Cup and was recognized as one of golf’s rising stars on the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy Junior All-Star Team.
At No. 12 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Hollis captured her second career AJGA victory at the 2014 AJGA Junior at Sugar Valley. She went on to tie for 10th at both the Rolex Girls Junior Championship and the Rolex Tournament of Champions. The 2014 Wyndham Cup East Team member and University of Georgia verbal commit comes off a fifth-place finish at the AJGA Girls Championship.
