Ryan Armour won his first PGA TOUR event in his 105th start at the Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, Mississippi, over the weekend. The five-stroke victory (at 19-under-par 269) came in convincing fashion over other AJGA alumni, including Chesson Hadley (runner-up), Jonathan Randolph (third), Smylie Kaufman (T4) and Brian Stuard (T4). Armour was a 1993 Rolex Junior All-American and competed in eight AJGA events in the early 1990s.
AJGA tournament host Justin Rose came from behind to win the World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions, less than a month after hosting the Justin Rose Junior All-Star Invitational at Reynolds Lake Oconee. His 14-under-par 274 outlasted former AJGA stalwarts Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson, who finished T2.

Cristie Kerr, the 1995 Rolex Junior Player of the Year, sunk a 35-foot birdie on the final hole to win the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia by one stroke over three other players, including Solheim Cup teammate Danielle Kang. Although the record has since been broken, Kerr held the lowest 18-hole round for a girl in the AJGA’s history with a 7-under-par 64 at the 1995 McDonald's Betsy Rawls Girls National Championship.
