Jimmy Walker Challenge

Jimmy Walker has enjoyed a successful PGA TOUR career that has included six wins and a major championship victory at the 2016 PGA Championship; however, after competing in the 2014 and 2016 Ryder Cups, Walker realized that one area of competition he missed out on growing up was match play. Walker, an AJGA alum and 1996 Rolex Junior All-American, believed that junior golfers should experience match play events to better prepare themselves for future team-based competitions. This is where the Jimmy Walker Challenge emerged.

The event serves to prepare 32 of the highest-ranked male junior golfers in the United States for team match play tournaments. The Jimmy Walker Challenge returns to Walker's home course, The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch, for the second-consecutive year. Matches will include two rounds of four-ball and one round of foursomes.

Reid Davenport is the highest-ranked player in the field at No. 11 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. Seventeen players in the field have also won an AJGA event and 12 have been named Rolex Junior All-Americans.
