In 2014, Jordan Spieth and partner Under Armour® began giving back to junior golf through the support of a tournament in Spieth's name. This year he continues his support with the Under Armour® / Jordan Spieth Championship presented by American Campus Communities .

The 2018 event will be played at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas, June 25-28.

Through four previous years, the tournament has received many awards from the AJGA, including the Newcomer of the Year Award in 2014 and the Tournament of the Year Award in 2015. With one of the strongest Open Tournament fields on the AJGA schedule, the Under Armour® / Jordan Spieth Championship presented by American Campus Communities draws local and national attention because Spieth has hosted a clinic each year he has hosted the tournament. This year the clinic will take place on Tuesday, June 26.

Spieth has shared how his junior golf experience helped him grow into one of the game’s top stars.

"The AJGA provided the opportunity to really test my game at a very young age, and introduced me to some of my closest friends who are now on TOUR today,” said the 2009 Rolex AJGA Junior Player of the Year. “I’m excited to continue to work with Under Armour® and the AJGA to promote junior golf, which is a core pillar of the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation," Spieth added.

Following his event in 2017, Spieth announced the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant endowment. This endowment provides financial assistance to junior golfers from Jordan's home state of Texas. Started by the AJGA in 2003, the ACE Grant provides financial assistance to young men and women who aspire to earn a college golf scholarship through competitive junior golf.

As a junior golfer, Spieth was the 2009 Rolex Junior Player of the year and a three-time Rolex Junior All-American. He recorded five victories and 17 top-five finishes during his five-year AJGA career. Spieth also won the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship twice before attending the University of Texas.

Past champions of the Under Armour® / Jordan Spieth Championship presented by American Campus Communities include: Chandler Phillips of Huntsville, Texas, and Hailee Cooper of Montgomery, Texas, in 2014, Zach Tracy of Houston, and Binny Lee of Frisco, Texas, in 2015, Pierceson Coody of Plano, Texas, and Kristen Gillman of Austin, Texas, in 2016 and Charles Osborne of Reno, Nevada, and Sadie Englemann of Austin, Texas, in 2017.

Under Armour® began its support of the AJGA in 2009 by partnering with PGA TOUR pro and AJGA alum Hunter Mahan to support an AJGA event. In 2016 Under Armour® became an Official Partner of the AJGA, supporting five AJGA tournaments and giving back to junior golf through its Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant  endowment. Under Armour® continues its support of the AJGA in 2018 through Jordan Spieth and Alison Lee's AJGA events.
