For the third consecutive year, the ACE Grant Cup surpassed the $100,000 threshold in fundraising, raising a total of $110,000.

The ACE Grant Cup is an annual event to help to raise money for the ACE Grant. The Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant provides financial assistance to young men and women who aspire to earn a college golf scholarship through competitive junior golf. The financial reimbursement program has granted more than 1,900 grants and reimbursed more than $3.7 million since 2003.

The 2018 ACE Grant Cup, held at Caves Valley Golf Club on April 29, featured 9 foursomes, including two Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant recipients, Chan Park of Cockeysville, Maryland, and Hannah Foster of Hobe Sound, Florida. During the event, Park and Foster shared their stories and the importance of the ACE Grant in their lives.

“The ACE Grant has made it possible for many young men and women to attend college through earning college golf scholarships," Park said. "I am able to play competitive golf and build lasting friendships without putting the financial burden on my parents for the game that I love."

Timothy Oitzman, member of the AJGA Foundation Board, Mike Hudak, Caves Valley Golf Club member and Jim Nugent, President of the AJGA Board of Directors, presented a check to the ACE Grant for $110,000 based on the contribution of participants in the event.

The fourth annual ACE Grant Cup will be hosted at Conway Farms Golf Club in Lake Forest, Illinois, June 23 - 24, 2019.
