The Crosswater Course at Sunriver Resort is set to host the Rolex Tournament of Champions for the third time since 2004. The course is one of Sunriver Resort’s four distinct golf courses, which sit on 600 acres of rolling hills in Central Oregon.

Crosswater celebrates its 20th anniversary this year; it was established in 1995 and designed by Robert E. Cupp. The 7,683-yard course stretches across picturesque woodlands and offers panoramic views of Mount Bachelor.

“What makes this golf course really unique is that it was built in a meadow here. You have to cross the Little Deschutes River five times throughout the course,” said PGA Director of Golf Operations, Josh Willis.

In addition to the three Rolex Tournament of Champions events, Sunriver Resort has hosted seven other AJGA tournaments including the Sunriver Junior Open, the Sunriver Junior All-Star and the PING Junior at Sunriver Resort.

“Golf is a major vehicle at Sunriver Resort for our ability to raise money and give back to charity here in Central Oregon,” Willis said.

It was ranked in “Golf’s 50 Greatest Destinations” by Golf Digest and Golfweek named it one of “America’s Best Resort Courses.” The course has been home to three PGA Professional National Championships, five NCAA Championships and the JELD-WEN Tradition tournament from 2007-2010.

“I am looking forward to a wonderful competition, to spending time with all my friends from the AJGA and, most importantly, looking forward to crowning a champion that we will watch for, hopefully, years to come,” Willis said.
