Three Things for Sunday at Junior PLAYERS

  1. The tournament record is 7-under-par 209, set by inaugural champion Morgan Hoffmann (2007) and Evan Beck (2008). The final group has this record in their sights, as Marc Hammer and Davis Shore are tied for the lead at 6-under-par, and Garrett Barber is 5-under-par.

  2. Rickie Fowler prevailed in this year's PLAYERS Championship by winning a playoff against Kevin Kisner and Sergio Garcia, honorary chairman of this week's tournament. The Junior PLAYERS Championship presented by TaylorMade-adidas Golf has never been decided by a playoff, but if it comes to that, the eventual champion will take the same path as Rickie - a three-hole aggregate playoff on Nos. 16, 17 and 18.

  3. On Saturday, the field played to the hole locations used during the third round of THE PLAYERS Championship. The AJGA second-round scoring average was 74.338 (1.6 strokes better than Friday), compared to a 71.227 third-round average for the pros in May. All four of the par 5s played under-par in the second round, with No. 16 being the easiest (-0.364) yielding four eagles and 29 birdies. Additionally, the AJGA players outperformed the pros on the 17th hole, carding a 2.922 scoring average compared to the PGA TOUR's 2.960 average.
