Four-time PGA TOUR winner J.B. Holmes announced his support of an American Junior Golf Association event in his home state of Kentucky.

The Natural Resource Partners Bluegrass Junior hosted by J.B. Holmes will be held at Bellefonte Country Club in Ashland, Kentucky, June 14-17, 2016.

"The Natural Resource Partners Bluegrass Junior is a premier event on the AJGA schedule and has a rich tradition in the state of Kentucky,” said Holmes, who played in the event twice as an AJGA junior golfer. “I am honored to be hosting this year’s event and hope to make it one of the best in its history."

The Natural Resource Partners Bluegrass Junior hosted by J.B. Holmes first began in 1981 and is now one of the AJGA’s longest running Open tournaments. Holmes’ best finish came in 1999 when he ended tied for fourth after leading the opening round with 3-under-par 67.

Originally from Campbellsville, Kentucky, Holmes played on the Taylor County High School golf team as a third grader and was inducted into the University of Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame in 2012. He now is No. 23 in the official world rankings and No. 45 in the FedExCup.
