Wednesday is the second round of the KPMG Stacy Lewis Junior All-Star Invitational at Blessings Golf Club in Johnson, Arkansas. Here are Three Things to know.

Girls Take Day One

To kick off the second annual KPMG Stacy Lewis Junior All-Star Invitational, the Girls Division finished atop the leaderboard to take home the day’s team victory. Jayna Choi of Collierville, Tennessee, shot a 5-under-par 67 to lead the team. Harmie Constantino (-4) of Taguig, Philippines, Michaela Morard (-1) of Huntsville, Alabama, and Xin (Cindy) Kou (E) of Windermere, Florida, also carded scores that counted towards the team total of 10-under. The Boys Division featured a close competition, with Mason Nome of Houston, Texas, Canon Claycomb of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Clay Seeber of Newport Beach, California, Robin Williams of Peterborough, United Kingdom, and Mauricio Figueroa of Guadalajara, Mexico, all shooting 1-under-par 71 for a team total of 4-under-par.

College Coaches In Staggering Numbers

Fifteen different college coaches were in attendance for the first round of play. Colleges from around the nation were represented, and more schools are expected to make an appearance throughout the week.

Woo Pig Sooie Night

After the conclusion of the first round, players and staff visited the University of Arkansas football stadium for the second annual Woo Pig Sooie Night. Players were treated to a barbeque buffet and then had the opportunity to play football on the field of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. The boys versus girls competition extended into the night’s football game with divided gender teams taking the field. Competition between the two teams was tough with the game ending in a 3-3 tie. The comradery will continue immediately following the second round during the skills challenge.
