Players to watch
- The top returning player from the 2015 Yani Tseng Invitational presented by the Swinging Skirts is Mariel Galdiano, who finished T3.
- Playing in the same pairing as Galdiano is a soon to be rival Alyaa Abdulghany. Next year, Galdiano will attend UCLA, while in 2017 Abdulghany will play for USC.
- Other players in the field that will be joining the crosstown rivalry are: Future Bruins Clare Amelia Legaspi, Paphangkorn Tavatanakit, and Kailie Vongsaga, along with future USC Trojan Muni He.
A truly International Tournament
- The 2016 Yani Tseng Invitational field is truly international event; 31 of the 72 players hail from foreign countries. Of the 31 international players, 13 traveled from Yani Tseng’s home country of Taiwan.
