Champions crowned in last week of July

AJGA City of London Junior Championship

  • Andy Mao of Johns Creek, Georgia, won the Boys Division with a tournament total of 13-under-par 203. Mao had 13 birdies and two eagles on the week, with four of those birdies and an eagle being in the final round for a 5-under-par 67. This is Mao’s first AJGA win.
  • Kristin Engle of Barbourville, Kentucky, claimed the Girls Division title with a tournament total of 7-under-par 209. Engle, a University of Tennessee commit, had 13 birdies on the week and had a final-round score of 2-under-par 70.

AJGA Junior at Centennial

  • Bryan Teoh Wiyang of Jupiter, Florida,won the Boys Division with a tournament total of 10-under-par 206. This is Wiyang’s second AJGA win in only four events. Wiyang carded four birdies in the final round for a score of 2-under-par 70.
  • Jo Hua Hung of New Taipei City, Taiwan, won the Girls Division after a sudden-death playoff against Elizabeth Lu of Los Gatos, California. Hung had a bogey-free second round with a score of 5-under-par 67 putting her in the lead heading into the final round.

AJGA Junior All-Star at Rush Creek

  • Clay Merchent of Noblesville, Indiana, won his first AJGA event after scoring a tournament total 12-under-par 204. Merchant had a bogey-free second round with a score of 8-under-par 64.
  • Virginie Ding of Hong Kong won the Girls Division after a final-round score of 1-over-par 73. Ding had nine birdies on the week for a tournament total of 4-over-par 220.

Wyndham Cup

  • The West Team took home the victory for the fourth consecutive year with the score of 26-24 over the East Team.
  • Noah Goodwin with a 4-0-0 record and Austin Eckroat and Kaiwen Liuwith a 3-1-0 record, led the West’s boys while Grace Ni and Alyaa Abdulghany led the West's girls with a 3-1-0 record.
  • The East team put up a strong fight with Wilson Furr and Davis shore going 4-0-0 record, while Jayna Choi, Emilia Migliaccio and Ana Paula Valdes led the East Girl’s with a 3-1-0 record.

AJGA Junior at Oak Tree

  • Logan McAllister of Oklahoma City, won his first AJGA title after carding 17 birdies and an eagle on the week for a tournament total of 14-under-par 196. McAllister maintained the leader position throughout the 54 holes and shot the low final round, a 5-under-par 65.
  • ShaeBug Scarberry of Purcell, Oklahoma, won the Girls Division via a sudden-death playoff against Joan Soewondo of Laguna Niguel, California with a tournament total score of 2-under-par 208. Scarberry carded six birdies in her final-round.

AJGA Philadelphia Junior

  • Kyle Vance of Audubon, Pennsylvania, won the Boys Division after a bogey-free final-round 3-under-par 67. Vance had 10 birdies on the week for a tournament total 1-over-par 211. This was Vance’s second AJGA victory.
  • RuQing Guan of Guangzhou, China, won the Girls Division with a tournament total of 1-under-par 209. Guan carded eight birdies in the final round for a score of 2-under-par 68 to earn her first AJGA victory.
