Breaking Records
Youngin Chun leads the Girls Division following the first round after carding a women's competitive course record for The Ridge at Back Brook. Her first-round 69 is the second course record she has broken this year in AJGA events. The first was at the Callaway Golf Junior Classic at The Country Club of the South in April 2017.
Strong Field = Strong Stats
During the first round, the boys and the girls both carded average rounds of 75. This is a great indicator of the strength of the field and their golf ability. With a Boys Rating of 75.1 and a Girls Rating of 77.9, it's clear the fields are playing up to their billing as the best junior golfers in the world.

Eugene Hong, Karl Vilips and Akshay Bhatia are all in the top-20 of the AJGA Rankings and in the top-10 of the tournament. For the Girls Division, Youngin Chun and Kaitlyn Papp are in the top-20 of the AJGA Rankings and both are in the top-5 for the tournament.
