Michaela Morard of Huntsville, Alabama, claimed the title at the 54th Alabama Girls State Junior Championship at Valley Hill Country Club in Huntsville, Alabama. Morard finished runner-up in the event in 2016 and was the youngest girl to win in 2015. The University of Alabama verbal commit carded 14 birdies over the 54-hole event to finish at 11-under-par 205. A two-time Rolex Junior All-American, Morard is in her fourth season with the AJGA. The three-time AJGA champion is No. 37 in the AJGA Rankings.

Max Engel of Scottsdale, Arizona, finished runner-up at the JGAA Mesa City Jr Championship/Jr World Qualifier at Viewpoint Golf Resort in Mesa, Arizona. The 16-year-old finished three strokes from the lead at 8-under-par 136. Engel is in his second year as an AJGA junior. His last AJGA event was the Hale Irwin Colorado Junior by Transamerica on June 5.

Brooke Sansom of Pike Road, Alabama, won the SJGT Wynlakes Junior Classic at Wynlakes Golf & Country Club in Montgomery, Alabama. The 18-year-old carded an 8-under-par 136 to win the Girls Division by nine strokes. The Auburn University verbal commit has earned 12 top-10 finishes in her four-year AJGA career. The 2016 Rolex Junior All-American is No. 59 in the AJGA Rankings.

Bo Jin of (China) Encinitas, California, won the SCPGA Toyota Tour Cup at Tustin Ranch. The 15-year-old finished at 5-under-par 139 to win the Boys Division by two strokes. This year is Jin’s first as an AJGA junior. He’s posted two top-10 finishes: runner-up at the AJGA Preview at Carlton Oaks and T9 at the Azahara Munoz Championship by Transamerica.
