PGA TOUR

Dustin Johnson earned his fourth TOUR victory of 2017 and fourth FedEx Cup Playoff win in a playoff over Jordan Spieth at The Northern Trust in New York. The opening leg of the FedEx Cup Playoffs saw plenty of drama, as Johnson battled from five strokes down to force a playoff with playing competitor Spieth. A gutsy 370-yard drive on No. 18 gave Johnson the birdie on the first playoff hole to become just the second player of the season to four wins, joining Justin Thomas. With the win, Johnson moved to No. 1 in the FedEx Cup standings heading into the Dell Technologies Championship.
