Former Arizona State star Anna Nordqvist won her second major championship over the weekend at The Evian Championship on the first hole of a playoff. Nordqvist carded three birdies and an eagle in her final seven holes to finish with a final-round 5-under-par 66 and 9-under-par 204 for the tournament.

Nordqvist played in three events with the AJGA in 2005, advancing to the quarterfinals of the Polo Golf Junior Classic and competing for Team Europe at the PING Junior Solheim Cup.

Brittany Altomare, a former three-time Rolex Junior All-American, forced a playoff after birdying No. 17 coming down the stretch. Altomare won three tournaments during her AJGA career from 2004-2008 before attending the University of Virginia.

PGA TOUR

Australian Marc Leishman won his third PGA TOUR title at the BMW Championship in dominant fashion, birdying three of his final four holes to claim a five-stroke victory at 23-under-par 261.

Rickie Fowler and Justin Rose finished T2 at 18-under-par 266. Fowler won two AJGA tournaments from 2004-2006 and notched top-five finishes in his final five events. He is also an ambassador of the AJGA's Leadership Links Program. Rose will host the AJGA's Justin Rose Junior All-Star Invitational at Reynolds Lake Oconee in October.
