Justin Thomas capped off a 2016-17 season that included a major championship, record-breaking performances and an almost guaranteed Player of the Year honor Sunday with a win of the FedEx Cup. With five wins this season, the most of any TOUR player, Thomas etched his name into the history books in the 11th year of the FedEx Cup race. Though he's the first since 2009 to not win the TOUR Championship in Atlanta but take home the FedEx Cup (Tiger Woods), Thomas took home a hefty $10 million bonus and continued the saga of AJGA alumni as champions. Thomas was a two-time Rolex Junior All-American and three-time AJGA champion. Fellow alumnus Xander Schauffele took home the TOUR Championship title, making it 28 wins by 19 different players in their 20s over the course of the season, according to the PGA TOUR. The California State University - Long Beach alumnus was the first rookie to ever win a FedEx Cup playoff event.
