Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail Junior Rescheduled for October 7-10; Audubon Golf Trail Top 100 presented by: Hilton New Orleans Riverside Canceled

The AJGA’s 12th Annual Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail Junior in Mobile, Ala., will be played over Columbus Day Weekend, October 7-10. The schedule of events will be similar to the original schedule. Also, there will be a new host hotel.

Unfortunately, the Audubon Golf Trail Top 100 presented by: Hilton New Orleans Riverside, originally scheduled for September 30-October 2, had to be canceled. The inaugural invitational will be conducted in 2006.

All entrants into the New Orleans event, and all players who choose to withdraw from Mobile, will be given full refunds of their tournament fees. More information regarding the Mobile host hotel and Srixon Qualifier will be forthcoming.

Uihlein Finishes Strong to Snag Win at Bobby Chapman

Peter Uihlein of Bradenton, Fla., finished eagle-birdie to win the Bobby Chapman Junior Invitational Sept. 17. Uihlein finished with scores of 69-64—133 to finish at 9-under-par for the tournament and edge out Arnond Vongvanij, also of Bradenton, by one shot. Both players tied the all-time 18-hole tournament record with their matching final-round 64s. The event was held at the Country Club of Spartanburg in Spartanburg, S.C.
