INCLEMENT WEATHER SUSPENDS FIRST-ROUND PLAY
FORT WORTH, Texas — Heavy rains and lightning swept through the Fort Worth area forcing the suspension of play at the first round of the EFW's Defense For America Classic. Six groups were able to complete their opening round before more severe weather reached the area, forcing the evacuation of the golf course. The remainder of first-round play will be completed Wednesday morning with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. Second-round tee times will follow, with play beginning off the No. 1 tee at 9:00 a.m.
Conducted by the American Junior Golf Association, the EFW's Defense For America Classic is a 54-hole, stroke play event being held at the Southern Oaks Golf Club.
