Phoenix’s Cam Sandland dominated the field at the 2018 JGAA Desert Mashie Spring Championship behind an inspired final-round 8-under-par 62. The junior opened the tournament with a bogey-free 6-under-par 64 that included four back-nine birdies. In fact, Sandland would finish the tournament without a single blemish on the card. His final-round 8-under-par 62 included six birdies and an eagle on the par-4 No. 10. The 17-year-old’s 14-under-par 126 was 10 shots clear of second place. Sandland has played with the AJGA since 2015, with his best finish a T11 at the 2017 Under Armour® Canadian Championship.

Jenny Bae of Chandler, Arizona, won a close contest in the Girls Division at the JGAA Desert Mashie Spring Championship. The sophomore took the first-round lead after carding a 1-under-par 71 that included five birdies, three coming on Nos. 7-9. She secured the victory after carding a final-round 2-under-par 70 for a tournament total of 3-under-par 141. Bae was one of only two juniors in the Girls Division to finish the tournament under par. The 16-year-old finished T6 at the 2016 PING Phoenix Junior at ASU Karsten.

Dongjin Park of Seoul, South Korea, captured the Boys Division title at the IJGT’s Central Florida Classic. Park took the first-round lead after firing a 5-under-par 68 that included two eagles and four birdies. That round was the lowest of the tournament. The junior secured the five-stroke victory after carding a final-round 3-under-par 70 for a tournament total of 8-under-par 138. Park has played with the AJGA since 2016. His best finish was T6 at the 2017 EMoney®.com / Daniel Berger Junior Championship.

Rachel Heck of Memphis, Tennessee, won the prestigious Kathy Whitworth Invitational by one stroke over fellow AJGA junior Yujeong Son of Norman, Oklahoma. Heck found herself two strokes off the lead after carding a first-round 1-under-par 70. The 2017 Rolex Junior Player of the Year won the title after carding a final-round even-par 71 for a tournament-total 1-under-par 141. This was Heck’s fourth time competing at the Kathy Whitworth Invitational, with her previous best finish being T4 at last year’s event. The sophomore owns two AJGA victories, including an Invitational victory at the 2017 Rolex Girls Junior Championship.
