AJGA Junior All-Star at Wood Ranch
Baron Szeto of Moraga, California, had seven birdies and an eagle in the final round en route to his first AJGA victory. The 15-year-old finished at 9-under-par 207. Catherine Rao of Camarillo, California, claimed her first AJGA win at 6-under-par 210. Rao won the title by one stroke.
Wyndham Cup
The West team closed out the 29th annual Wyndham Cup with a 26.5 to 23.5 victory. In the end, it was the West’s Cole Ponich of Farmington, Utah, who defeated the East’s Karl Vilips of (Australia) Wesley Chapel, Florida, 1 up to clinch the winning point for the West team.
Foley Performance Academy @ EaglesDream Junior All-Star
Deven Patel of Johns Creek, Georgia, won the Boys Division for his first AJGA victory in just three starts. Patel fired a 4-under-par 68 in the final round to win by one stroke at 1-under-par 215. Natachanok Tunwannarux of Bangkok, Thailand, finished at 2-over-par 218 to win by one stroke in the Girls Division. This was the 13-year-old’s first AJGA win in just three starts.
Gateway Mortgage Group Tulsa Junior
William McDonald of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, won the Boys Division at even-par 213. This is the Transamerica Scholastic Honor Roll member’s first AJGA win. Jillian Bourdage of Tamarac, Florida, claimed her second AJGA victory by two strokes at even-par 213. Bourdage fired a 4-under-par 67 in the final round.
AJGA Gary Woodland Junior Championship
Melena Barrientos of Plano, Texas, finished at 11-over-par 221 to claim the Girls Division title. Barrientos won by five strokes. Edward Wu of Temple City, California, won his second AJGA title at 3-over-par 213. The Transamerica Scholastic Honor Roll honoree won by one stroke.
AJGA City of London Junior Championship
John Marshall Butler of Louisville, Kentucky, finished at 4-under-par 212 to win his first AJGA event. Butler birdied his last hole to win by one stroke. Casey Weidenfeld of Pembroke Pines, Florida, also finished at 4-under-par 212 to claim her second AJGA win. The 15-year-old won by four strokes.
