Champions crowned week of July 18-21

Judie Oppenheimer Memorial Junior

  • Viraj Garewal of Raleigh, North Carolina,won the Boys Division after carding a 1-under-par 215. Garewal had 11 birdies on the week including six in the final round for a 5-under-par 67.
  • Carly Burkhardt of Greenville, South Carolina, won the Girls Division after a sudden-death playoff with Jenny Bae. Burkhardt had a tournament total score of 3-over-par 219. She carded five birdies in the final round for a score of 1-under-par 71.

 David Toms Foundation Shreveport Junior

 

  • Simms Abney of Madison, Mississippi, won his first AJGA title after scoring a tournament total of 8-under-par 208. Abney won the division by five strokes, and maintained his first place position throughout the second and final rounds.
  • Hailey Jones of Dallas, won the Girls Division scoring a tournament total 7-under-par 209. Jones had four birdies in the final round for a 2-under-par 70.

Action Zone / Bob Estes Abilene Junior

  • Parker Coody of Plano, Texas,won the Boys Division with a tournament total score 9-under-par 207. Coody had a bogey free first round to put him atop the leaderboard with a score of 7-under-par 65, where he maintained his position throughout all three rounds.
  • Kathrine Chan of Richmond, British Columbia, won the Girls Division title by nine strokes with a tournament total 2-under-par 214. Chan had 12 birdies on the week and a final-round score of even-par 72.

the Memorial Junior presented by Ohio Christian University

  • Cameron Frazier of Cincinnati, won his first AJGA title with a final-round score of 1-under-par 71. Frazier carded 15 birdies and an eagle on the week for a tournament total score of 8-under-par 208.
  • Ashley Gilliam of Manchester, Tennessee, won the Girls Division by three strokes after maintaining her lead throughout the tournament. Gilliam had a final round score of 3-over-par 75 and a tournament total 1-over-par 217.

 

Enagic Junior Championship

  • Matthew Lim of Rancho Palos Verdes, California, won the Boys Division title after carding six birdies and an eagle in his final round for a score of 7-under-par 65. This is Lim’s first AJGA title with a tournament total of 11-under-par 205.
  • Crystal Wang of Diamond Bar, California, won the Girls Division by five strokes with a tournament total 11-under-par 205. Wang carded 16 birdies on the week including seven of those in the final round for a 6-under-par 66.

Lessing’s AJGA Classic

  • Peter Bradbeer of Rosemont, Pennsylvania,won the Boys Division after a low final round 2-under-par 68. Bradbeer had 13 birdies on the week for a tournament total of 1-under-par 209.
  • Lauren Peter of Carmel, New York, won the Girls Division with a tournament total 4-over-par 214. This is Peter’s second AJGA title. She had nine birdies on the week, including three in the final round for a 3-over-par 73.
