AJGA Alum Michael Thompson won by three strokes over Miguel Angel Carballo at the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Kraft Nabisco, carding 23-under-par 261. Entering the final round, Thompson was tied with AJGA Tournament host Scott Stallings, but with an impressive back nine that included five birdies, Thompson took the title with a final-round 7-under-par 64. Stallings fell to finish tied for fifth with Mackenzie Hughes and Ryan Blaum at 16-under-par 268. Austin Cook rounded out the top-10, tied for ninth with Cheng Tsung Pan and Gonzalo Fdez-Castano at 14-under-par 270.
Thompson played in the 2001 AJGA Arizona Junior Classic.
Stallings has hosted an AJGA event for three years, including this year’s
Under Armour® / Scott Stallings Championship presented by Pilot Flying J in August.
Hughes placed 12th at the AJGA Coca-Cola Junior Championship at Boyne Highlands in 2007.
In his AJGA career, Blaum was named a 2002 Honorable Mention Rolex Junior All-American and played in 31 events, with 11 top-20 finishes.
Cook participated in eight AJGA events, five of which were Invitationals, and had two top-10 finishes

Three AJGA alumni and a tournament host placed in the top-10 at the Evian Championship. In Gee Chun claimed the win in France in record-breaking fashion, carding 21-under-par 263. Her tournament total broke the previous record low score by two shots. AJGA Tournament host ShanShan Feng finished fourth at 15-under-par 269. In-Kyung Kim a carded 12-under-par 272 for a solo-sixth finish. Ariya Jutanugarn, Brooke Henderson and Gerina Piller tied for ninth at 7-under-par 277.
Feng has hosted two events with the AJGA including the 2015 Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy / ShanShan Feng Junior Championship and the 2016 AJGA ShanShan Feng Junior Championship.
Kim, a 2006 Honorable Mention Rolex Junior All-American, played in three AJGA events in which she won the 2005 Hargray Junior Classic.
In her junior years, Jutanugarn was named 2011 and 2012 Rolex Junior Player of the year. She won four AJGA tournaments and had seven top-10 finishes.
Henderson won two AJGA tournaments including the 2011 Gensis Junior at White Beaches and the 2012 Ravenwood Junior Classic.
