2016 Rolex Junior Player of the Year | Noah Goodwin

Goodwin, the 2016 Rolex Junior Player of the Year, is ranked No. 1 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Golfweek Boys Junior Rankings and Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings. The junior at Denton Calvary Academy finished in the top five at six of the seven national junior golf events he played in during 2016 and is verbally committed to Southern Methodist University. The two-time Rolex Junior All-American posted his fourth-career AJGA win during 2016 at the Bishops Gate Golf Academy Junior at Horseshoe Bay.

The 16-year-old closed out his 2016 campaign with a second-place finish at The PING Invitational where he broke an 18-hole tournament scoring record after posting a 9-under-par 63 in the second round at Karsten Creek previously set by Conrad Shindler in 2006 at 5-under-par 67. Other stroke-play highlights included T2 at the Thunderbird International Junior and fifth at the CB&I / Simplify Boys Championship at Carlton Woods.

Goodwin also made three match play appearances during 2016. He finished runner-up at the U.S. Junior Amateur and was a member of two victorious teams: the Wyndham Cup West Team where he posted an impressive 4-0-0 record and the U.S. Junior Ryder Cup Team.

To have my name listed with great champions as Phil Mickelson, David Duval, Tiger Woods and Jordan Spieth is an unbelievable feeling.”
