The deadline for the AJGA Senior Showcase, held on the Island Course at Innisbrook Resort & Golf Club, is on Tuesday, January 10 at 5 p.m. EST. The 54-hole tournament is specifically designed for unsigned high school seniors before the spring signing period.
In 2016, Sebastian Diaz of Caracas, Venezuela, outlasted the Boys Division field behind a three-day total of 4-over-par 214. Diaz went on to attend the University of South Florida where he is currently a freshman on the men's golf team.
Marisa Hisaki of Osaka, Japan, topped the Girls Division with a total of 17-over-par 227. Hisaki went on to sign her National Letter of Intent with the University of Northern Colorado where she now competes as a freshman.
Innisbrook Resort & Golf Club hosted the AJGA for the first time in 1978 at the inaugural Polo Golf Junior Classic and has continued to host tournaments since. The AJGA Senior Showcase will be the first of three AJGA tournaments hosted at the resort in 2017.
