Callaway Golf Junior Championship

James Song of (Canada) Rancho Santa Fe, California, carded a final-round 4-under-par 67 to earn his first AJGA victory. His tournament total of 7-under-par 206 consisted of 12 birdies, five in the final round. This win marks his third top-10 finish AJGA finish.

Amari Avery of Riverside, California, carded two eagles in the final four holes to shoot a 6-under-par 65 and earn her second AJGA victory of 2017. The 13-year-old carded 12 birdies over the 54-hole event for a tournament total 4-under-par 209.

 

Project Worldwide Championship at Palos Verdes

Ethan Chung of Cupertino, California, started the tournament out strong, making an eagle on the back nine of the first round to shoot 3-under 68. Chung’s consistency earned him his first AJGA victory with another 3-under-par 68 in the final round.

RuQing Guan of Guangzhou, China, added to her AJGA victory collection at the Project Worldwide Championship at Palos Verdes claiming her fifth AJGA win. Guan carded a final-round of 1-over-par 72 for a tournament total 1-over-par 214. The 17-year-old is No. 30 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings.

 

The First Tee of Greater Baltimore Junior Championship

Kritchayapol Sinchai of Bangkok, Thailand, secured his first AJGA win with a one stroke lead in the Boys Division. The 17-year-old quickly rose up the leaderboard firing two birdies on the front nine and another two on the back to sign for a 1-under-par 71 and tournament total 3-under-par 213. The rising senior finished T3 in his last AJGA tournament at the AJGA Philadelphia Junior.

Abigail Wiranatha of West Covina, California, shot a tournament total of 5-under-par 211 to earn her first AJGA victory. Wiranatha fired three birdies in her final round closing out with a 1-under-par 71 to win by three.

 

AJGA Junior at RiverWatch

Bo Jin of (China) Encinitas, California, produced his best AJGA three-round tournament score of 12-under-par 204 to earn his first AJGA victory. Jin shot 3-under-par 69 in the final round and produced two eagles on Nos.1 and 18 to win by one shot.

 

Joys (Jiarui) Jin of (China) Encinitas, California, fired a 7-under-par 209 to claim her first AJGA title. Her final round of 5-under-par 67 marked her career low score and secured her win by nine strokes over Alyssa Montgomery. Jin has finished in the top-10 in every AJGA event since her debut earlier this year.

 

Bass Pro Shops / Payne Stewart Junior Championship

Calynne Rosholt of Cedar Park, Texas, went wire-to-wire to win the Girls Division by two strokes. The high school freshman posted rounds of 67-67-71 for a tournament-total 8-under-par 205. She recorded 14 birdies for the tournament to win her first AJGA event.

Dawson McDaniel of Bowling Green, Kentucky, finished his final round of the Bass Pro Shops / Payne Stewart Junior Championship in style as he holed out for eagle on the par-5 No. 18 to win his first AJGA tournament by one stroke. the 18-year-old posted a 3-under-par 68 in the final round for a tournament-total 5-under-par 208.

 

AJGA Junior All-Star at Calumet

Gabriella Tomanka of Grapevine, Texas, sunk her birdie putt on the first playoff hole to win the AJGA Junior All-Star at Calumet. Tomanka finished the tournament at 1-over-par 214 which included 10 birdies over the 54-hole event.

Gunnar Broin of Chanhassen, Minnesota, shot a bogy-free first round of 6-under 65 to take the lead. On the final day he closed out with a birdie on 18 to secure the title.
