After host Great Britain & Ireland recorded a 2015 victory, Team USA will look to regain the Walker Cup over the weekend at Los Angeles Country Club’s North Course.

The United States leads the all-time series 35-9-1, but in 2015 GB&I claimed a 16.5-9.5 victory at Royal Lytham & St. Annes in Lytham St. Annes, England.

Team USA includes nine AJGA alumni, highlighted by 18-year-old Norman Xiong, who will become the second-youngest player to ever compete at the Walker Cup. Xiong is a five-time AJGA champion, competing in junior competition as recently as last October at The PING Invitational.

Other notable competitors include 2017 U.S. Amateur finalists Doc Redman and Doug Ghim, 2017 NCAA Championship Individual medalist Braden Thornberry, and 2013 Rolex Junior Player of the Year Scottie Scheffler. The remaining four AJGA alumni on Team USA – Cameron Champ, Stewart Hagestad, Collin Morikawa and Will Zalatoris – combined for five Rolex Junior All-America awards.

Day 1 foursomes begin on September 9 with eight singles matches in the afternoon. Day 2 will feature foursomes in the morning followed by 10 singles matches in the afternoon. Television coverage will be on Fox Sports 1.
