Tournament Storylines

Overton gives back to local junior golf
Jeff Overton competed in AJGA events from 1999-2001, winning the 2001 Optimist International Junior and earning Rolex Junior All-American Honorable Mention accolades in 2001. The PGA TOUR professional from Evansville, Ind., competed at Indiana University, turned professional in 2005 and has since amassed 30 top-10 finishes on the PGA TOUR.
Otter Creek Golf Course
Designed by Robert Trent Jones and his son Rees Jones, Otter Creek Golf Course utilizes the natural rolling hills of Southern Indiana to provide a challenging layout. With a links-style setup, the public facility boasts 27 holes. Otter Creek has hosted the AJGA six times.
Defending champion returns
Braden Thornberry of Olive Branch, Miss., was crowned champion of the inaugural Under Armour® / Jeff Overton Championship hosted by Otter Creek in 2013 on the strength of a final-round 3-under-par 69 and tournament-total 7-under-par 209. The Ole Miss verbal commit will return in 2014 to defend his title in search of his third AJGA victory.

Media Accommodations

The Under Armour® / Jeff Overton Championship hosted by Otter Creek will have AJGA communications representatives on hand to assist media throughout the week. Prior to the tournament the AJGA will provide information about the event and its participants, as well as assist with player interviews.

After each round, media officials on-site will write a recap with the day's results. These will be emailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors may be conducted before or after tournament rounds.
