GENERAL INFORMATION: Sunday, July 17 – Monday, July 18, 2011

APPLICATION WINDOW: The application window will be open for AJGA members from Friday, June 17 at 3 p.m. ET – Monday, June 20 at Noon ET. The application window for non-members will be open beginning Friday, June 24 at 3 p.m. ET. The Qualifier field and alternate list will be posted Tuesday, June 21 at 5 pm ET.

PRACTICE ROUND INFORMATION: Dates available for play - Any day leading up to July 17

HOTEL/HOUSING INFORMATION: Host Hotel - The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota (1111 Ritz-Carlton Drive, Sarasota, Florida 34236) will serve as the host hotel. Discover The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota – and experience place where the casual Gulf Coast lifestyle meets the sophisticated, cosmopolitan excitement of the city. Featuring exceptional dining, a luxurious spa, championship golf, lavish accommodations and sweeping ocean views, The Ritz-Carlton in Sarasota, Florida, provides guests with a relaxing escape from the everyday. The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota has given the AJGA a special rate of $145 plus 11% tax per night per room. In addition, there is a $15 fee per day for overnight parking, which has been reduced from $20 for tournament participants. Average rates for this time are between $199 - $259, plus tax per night. Reservations can be made by calling (800) 241-3333 or (941) 309-2000. When calling be sure to identify yourself as an AJGA participant.

TRANSPORTATION: Airport - Players should make reservations into Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport (SRQ), which is approximately 10 minutes from the hotel and 25 minutes from the golf course. As an additional option, Tampa International Airport (TPA) is approximately one hour and 15 minutes from both the hotel and golf course.

ACE

The Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant program provides financial assistance to junior golfers who wish to play in AJGA events. Its goal is to give top-flight golf opportunities to young golfers regardless of financial resources. This program helps to fulfill the AJGA’s mission of developing young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf.

What is Leadership Links?

Leadership Links is a new program whereby the AJGA is able to further its mission to help develop young men and women by teaching charitable giving skills and service-oriented practices at an early age. This program gives juniors all the tools necessary to donate their time, talent and resources to local charities and the AJGA youth development programs.
