The PGA TOUR's Q-School wrapped up Monday at PGA West in La Quinta, Calif. The top 25 and ties earned PGA TOUR cards for the upcoming year. Harrison Frazar earned medalist honors, carding a total of 32-under-par 400 over the six rounds of qualifying. Derek Fathauer made the most of his first trip to Q-School, tying for second at 24-under par. Other former AJGA members earning spots on the tour along with Frazar and Fathauer include Chris Stroud, John Huston, Robert Garrigus, Webb Simpson, James Oh, Glen Day, Jason Dufner, Jimmy Walker, Gary Woodland, Notah Begay III, Leif Olson, Aaron Watkins, Ted Purdy, Chris Riley and Wil Collins.

Q-School for the LPGA tour finished Sunday in Daytona Beach, Fla. The top-20 finishers all earned their cards for 2009. Stacy Lewis finished at the top of the leaderboard, with a five-round total of 18-under-par 342. AJGA alumni that will have a guaranteed spot on the circuit in 2009 include Anna Grzebien, Beth Bader, Lisa Strom, Mollie Fankhauser, Carolina Llano, Charlotte Mayorkas, Jeehae Lee, Jeanne Cho-Hunicke, Ashleigh Simon, Louise Stahle, Audra Burks, Allison Hanna-Williams and Leah Wigger.

The Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant program provides financial assistance to junior golfers who wish to play in AJGA events. Its goal is to give top-flight golf opportunities to young golfers regardless of financial resources. This program helps to fulfill the AJGA’s mission of developing young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf.

What is Leadership Links?

Leadership Links is a new program whereby the AJGA is able to further its mission to help develop young men and women by teaching charitable giving skills and service-oriented practices at an early age. This program gives juniors all the tools necessary to donate their time, talent and resources to local charities and the AJGA youth development programs.
