Volunteers are vital to the AJGA’s mission of player development by elevating the member experience and fostering growth in key programs like pace of play, care for the course and code of conduct.
MAKE AN IMPACT
The AJGA relies on more than 5,000 annual volunteers to run events in more than 30 states. Volunteers make an impact on tournament operations and charitable endeavors. In 2019, the AJGA donated $1.4 million to local charity and grassroots golf organizations.
“The volunteers at Reynolds Lake Oconee always look forward to the AJGA events as they love being around the players and their parents. The players are so respectful and pleasant to all the volunteers and make them feel like an important part of the tournament. It is a rewarding experience for all of us.”
Charles Finch, Volunteer Chairman, AJGA Junior All-Star Invitational at Reynolds Lake Oconee
“The years we have been involved with hosting staff and volunteering for the AJGA have been awesome. The event is always well organized, the staff and players are very respectful and appreciative of the volunteers and course. We hope to help again in the future.”
Larry and Leanne Dial, Creekmoor Golf Club
“Being part of an AJGA event was an awesome experience. The juniors took incredible care of our golf course and were so thankful and appreciative that we were hosting an event for them. I was very impressed by what the AJGA stands for and requires of these junior golfers.”
