Biltmore Forest Country Club

The first round of the Rolex Girls Junior Championship  begins Tuesday, June 13, at the historic Biltmore Forest Country Club in Asheville, North Carolina. The 47,495-square foot course will be the 19th distinct site of the Rolex Girls Junior Championship. Biltmore Forest Country Club hosts the AJGA for the first time since Wyndham Cup in 2001. More than 60 volunteers from the club will volunteer their time during the tournament over the next week.

A Strong Field

The 72-player field features 24 Rolex Junior All-Americans with a total of 83 career AJGA victories, including the 2016 Rolex Junior Player of the Year Paphangkorn Tavatanakit of Thailand. The tournament includes 2014 and 2016 Rolex Girls Junior Championship winners: Elizabeth Wang of San Marino, California, and defending champion Gina Kim of Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Rolex Sponsorship

Seventy-two of the AJGA’s top-119 ranked girls will compete for the title at the Rolex Girls Junior Championship this week. Rolex, "The Official Timepiece of the AJGA," is in its fourth decade of support with the AJGA and became a Premier Partner in 2004. Celebrating its golden jubilee in 2017, Rolex was honored for its longtime support of junior golf and the AJGA with the Digger Smith Award in 2016. The 26th annual Rolex Girls Junior Championship is one of the premiere tournaments on the AJGA schedule. The event is one of the longest running events on the AJGA schedule and one of five girls-only AJGA Invitationals this year.
