At TPC Sawgrass, the journey from rising talent to lasting legacy begins on the same stage. The Junior PLAYERS Championship presented by Rolex highlights the game’s next generation, while THE PLAYERS Championship showcases its legends.

Through a continued partnership between the PGA TOUR and the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA), the tournament features 78 of the world’s top-ranked male junior golfers competing on one of the sport’s most iconic courses. Rolex, Global Partner and one of the AJGA's longest-tenured partners, became the event’s presenting sponsor in 2022.

Since 2007, the top boys have traveled to Ponte Vedra Beach in search of a signature victory. Past champions include:

2007: Morgan Hoffmann
2008: Evan Beck
2009: Bobby Wyatt
2010: Michael Johnson
2011: Gavin Hall
2012: Robby Shelton IV
2013: Austen Truslow

In 2025, Miles Russell captured the 19th edition of The Junior PLAYERS Championship presented by Rolex, becoming the first two-time champion in tournament history. The Florida State University commit earned the win in his third start at the event with rounds of 68-69-70. The tournament’s inaugural champion was Morgan Hoffmann of Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, who won in 2007 before going on to an eight-season career on the PGA TOUR. Hoffmann recorded five AJGA victories as a junior, including four Invitationals, and was named a Rolex Junior All-American.

The tournament record for lowest round belongs to Logan McCallister, who fired a 9-under 63 during the second round in 2017 before finishing runner-up after a three-hole playoff won by Shuai Ming (Ben) Wong. The lowest 54-hole total at TPC Sawgrass was set in 2022 by Jeffrey Guan of Australia at 16-under 200 (67-69-64), breaking the previous mark of 8-under 208 set in 2018 by Travis Vick, Akshay Bhatia and Bo Jin. Ben James also matched that former record on his way to winning the 2021 championship.
