AJGA alumna, tournament host and Foundation board member Stacy Lewis earned her 13th LPGA Tour victory on Sunday at the Ladies Scottish Open. Lewis secured her first title in nearly three years after sinking a 23-foot birdie putt on the first hole of a four-way playoff. This was the first time Lewis won in a playoff, after coming up just short in three previous tries. Lewis will surely take this momentum into the Women's British Open next week, a tournament she won in 2013.
Lewis competed in 10 AJGA tournaments during her junior golf career, finishing fourth at the 2002 Abilene Reporter-News Junior.
AJGA alumnus Jim Herman earned his third PGA TOUR victory on Sunday at the Wyndham Championship. Herman played his way into the weekend after closing out his second round with birdies on three of his final four holes to make the cut by two strokes. Herman proceeded to take full advantage of moving day, as he fired a 9-under-par 61 to vault up the leaderboard. Herman locked up a one-stroke victory over fellow AJGA alum Billy Horschel after posting a 7-under-par 63 to finish the tournament at 21-under-par 259.
Herman competed in the 1996 Ashworth Bluegrass Junior Invitational.
AJGA alumna Sarah White is one-for-one in her Symetra Tour career after winning the Founders Tribute at Longbow Golf Club by one stroke. White carded rounds of 68-65-68 to finish the inaugural tournament at 15-under-par 201.
White finished third at the 2015 Randy Wise Junior Open. She had four top-10 finishes in nine career AJGA appearances.
