AJGA alumna Ayaka Furue won her first LPGA Tour title this past weekend at the Trust Golf Women's Scottish Open. In her rookie season on Tour, Furue fired a final round score of 10-under-par 62 to win by three strokes.

Furue made five birdies and two bogies during the first round to shoot a 3-under-par 69. In the second round, Ayaka had an up and down round that consisted of two bogeys, one double-bogey and eight birdies. She shot a 4-under-par 68 to make the cut in Scotland. Ayaka had no shortage of birdies during the third round, making five birdies and one bogey en route to a 4-under-par 68. Furue was three-shots behind the leader heading into the final round. Furue cruised through her final round and set a course-record at the Dundonald Links Golf Course. She made 10 birdies on the day and shot a 10-under-par 62

Ayaka played in the 2015 ANNIKA Invitational at Reunion Resort. She shot a three-day total of even-par-216 to finish tied for sixth place in her one AJGA start.
