AJGA alumni, Max Homa, won the 2023 Farmers Insurance Open in San Diego, California. Homa overcame a five-shot deficit to take home his sixth PGA TOUR title. He had a four day total of 13-under-par 275, at Torrey Pines Golf Course.

Homa started the tournament with five birdies during his first round. After a bogey on the par-3 No. 15, he finished the day with a 4-under-par 68. His second round was highlighted by four birdies in a row starting from the par-3 No. 3. After a few bogies, Homa finished his second round with a 2-under-par 70 to make the cut. Homa started his third round with a bogey on the par-4 No. 1, but bounced back with a birdie on the par-4 No. 5 and an eagle on the par-5 No. 3 He finished the round with a 1-under-par 71. Homa's final push to
earn his sixth PGA TOUR title began when he made four birdies on the front nine of his final round. His back nine included a bogey on the par-4 No. 14 and three birdies. With his birdie on the par-5 No. 18, Homa won his sixth title by two strokes.

During his time as an AJGA junior, Homa played in 13 events from 2006 to 2009. He had three third place finishes during his AJGA career, including a third place finish at the 2009 ClubCorp Mission Hills Desert Junior. Homa went on to play collegiate golf at the University of California, Berkely.

Brooke Henderson earned her 13th LPGA Tour title at the 2023 Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions in Orlando, Florida. The Canadian earned a wire-to-wire win over LPGA players, Maja Stark and Charley Hull.

Henderson cruised her way through to an opening round of 5-under-par 67, with six birdies. Her impressive first round included one bogey on the par-3 No. 17. Henderson then turned in a flawless round of 6-under-par 66 on her second round to start the weekend at 11-under-par 133 for the tournament. She followed up her strong play with a 3-under-par 69 during her third round. Henderson made her second bogey of the event on the par-4 No. 12. In the final round, Henderson made three birdies and one bogey to finish the tournament with a 2-under-par 70. Henderson's tournament low score of 16-under-par 272 is two-strokes clear of second place. Her last tournament win came at the 2022 Pelican Women's Championship presented by Konica Minolta and Raymond James.

The 24-year-old Canadian competed at only six AJGA tournaments back in her junior career, winning two titles at the 2012 Ravenwood Junior Championship and the 2011 Genesis Junior at White Beeches.
