AJGA alumna, Nelly Korda, secured her first victory of the 2024 season after a two-hole playoff at the LPGA Drive On Championship in her hometown of Bradenton, Florida. This marks Korda's ninth career win and her first on the LPGA Tour since 2022.

In her stellar opening round, Korda fired off six birdies and an eagle to start the tournament with a 6-under-par 65. She followed up the next day with a 4-under-par 67 to take a two-shot lead heading into the third round. In the third round, Korda carded a boegy-free back nine and an eagle on the par-5 No. 17. She headed into the final round with a four-stroke lead at 13-under-par. Things took a turn on No. 14 when Korda found her second bogey of the day and followed up with a double bogey on No. 15. She rallied back with an eagle on No. 17, needing a birdie on No. 18 to force a playoff. Korda defeated Lydia Ko in a two-hole playoff with this win marking Korda's first wire-to-wire career win.

As an AJGA junior, Korda secured two AJGA wins including the 2015 The PING Invitational and 2015 Yani Tseng Invitational presented by the Swinging Skirts. The three-time Rolex Junior All-American had seven additional top-10 finishes in AJGA tournaments from 2012 to 2015. Korda was also a member of the 2015 PING Junior Solheim Cup U.S. Team.
