Professional Recap

AJGA alumnus Justin Thomas and his father Mike came from behind to win the PNC Championship on December 20, 2020. Team Thomas fired a 15-under-par 57 in the final round to win by a stroke over Team Singh at 25-under-par 119.

In his AJGA career, Thomas was a two-time Rolex Junior All-American and three-time AJGA Champion. Thomas continues to support the AJGA and the next generation of junior golfers by hosting the Justin Thomas Junior Championship. That event is also a family affair, as his father Mike is heavily involved in event preparation and tournament execution. Thomas also endowed $100,000 to the ACE Grant.

The PNC Championship also featured AJGA member John Daly II, who competed alongside his father John Daly. Team Daly finished eighth at 19-under-par 125. John Daly II has competed in 13 AJGA tournaments since 2017, earning six top-10 finishes. He was a 2020 Rolex Junior All-American and is No. 40 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings.

AJGA alumna Haley Moore won the inaugural Longbow Cactus Cup on December 27, 2020. It served as the season-ending event on the Cactus Tour and featured the top-four golfers based on the tour's money list. The Longbow Cactus Cup was an 18-hole winner-take-all battle for a $10K prize. Moore posted a 2-over-par 74 to secure her spot in a sudden-death playoff with fellow AJGA alumna Mina Harigae. Moore won on the first playoff hole.

Moore was a two-time Rolex Junior All-American and three-time AJGA Champion. She attended the University of Arizona where she secured the 2018 NCAA Division I Women's Golf National Championship with a birdie on the 19th hole of the final match to defeat Alabama.
